Accessibility Statement

This page describes my approach to accessibility and the steps I take to keep christruitt.com usable for as many visitors as possible. If you experience an accessibility issue, it also tells you how to contact me so I can review and improve it.

Effective date: 1/14/2026

christruitt.com is committed to providing an accessible experience for as many visitors as possible, including people with disabilities.

  1. Accessibility goals
My goal is to make the Site usable with common assistive technologies and accessible across devices and browsers. I aim to follow generally recognized best practices for web accessibility, including guidance aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) where practical for a personal project site.
  2. What I am doing to support accessibility
    I work to:
  • Use clear headings and semantic structure to support screen readers
  • Maintain reasonable color contrast and readable typography
  • Provide meaningful link text and navigable layouts
  • Support keyboard navigation where possible
  • Avoid unnecessary motion or disruptive effects
  1. Known limitations
Because this Site uses third-party themes, plugins, and embedded content, some pages or components may not fully meet all accessibility expectations. Third-party embeds (for example, videos or widgets) may have limitations outside my control.
  2. Feedback and assistance
If you encounter an accessibility issue, please use the Contact page and include:
  • The page URL
  • A description of the issue
  • The device and browser you were using
  • Any assistive technology (if applicable)

I will review issues and, where feasible, make improvements.

  1. Ongoing improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. The Site may be updated periodically to improve usability and accessibility.
